- Oral cancer and malignant oral lesions are expected to have 80% or higher cure rate if they are found in early stage. However, if it is already developed, the five year survival rate decreases to 50% or lower.
The oral cancer patients who failed to visit the hospital for early diagnosis as they already developed cancer(late-stage) have lower survival rate.
As oral cancer which early diagnosis is important can be examined with simple examination by using laser device, oral tumor center made it easier for patients to do regular oral cancer examination, prevent abnormal lesion(precancerous lesion) in mouth, and helps patients pursue higher quality of lives.
